20 Struggles Of Being The Only Book Lover In Your Friend Group

Yes, I *do* really need a second copy of The Hobbit.

Because, honestly, "catching up" would entail describing the most recent book you've fallen in love with, but none of them quite get it or care.

“Is your Khaleesi coming out to play?”

This is an established trend. This is not a joke. People are STILL naming their kids after characters from Game of Thrones.

The Office for National Statistics' (ONS) list of the most popular baby names in England and Wales for 2014, published Monday morning, shows that we're quite keen on naming our kids after pop culture characters.

So last year there were FOUR babies named after Brienne of Tarth, the badass warrior played by Gwendoline Christie in the TV show.

The project started in March of 2008 and it is still going strong. "I like doing projects that are all-encompassing," he told BuzzFeed News.

His previous projects have included drawing every single kernel in a popped bag of microwave popcorn, and drawing every piece of art in the Museum Of Modern Art.

Polan likes to include as many people as possible in his projects. "I thought this would be a way to do that (on a big scale) in a not terribly aggressive way," he said.

He also believes that this project will be a great way to improve his drawing.

We all forgive you, Jackson!

All these smartphones and tablets and phablets and other electronic contraptions are killing children's love of books, right?

All these smartphones and tablets and phablets and other electronic contraptions are killing children's love of books, right?

Right? Wrong.

A Toronto kid named Jackson left the most adorable note to his local library that proves the love of books is not lost.

He was reading an Asterix comic in his bunk when he nodded off, causing the book to rip as it tumbled away.

And Jackson is very, very sorry. So sorry that he left this precious note in the drop box at Toronto's Main Street library.

I am sorry that a page ripped when it fell out of my bunk when I fell asleep reading It won't happen again.

I'm sorry

from Jackson

The librarians were so touched by the letter that they shared it with Toronto Public Library headquarters, who then shared it on social media.

"We get lots of ripped books but we don't usually get an apology, so it was just really sweet," librarian Eila Mcleish told BuzzFeed Canada.

Judging by the library's note and dozens of comments lauding Jackson's courteous letter, he's very much forgiven.

As one Facebook commenter put it: Keep reading little bro!
