The book, A Birthday Cake For George Washington is a story about the first president's chef, Hercules, and his daughter, Delia, baking a special cake for Washington's birthday.

The story by journalist and author Ramin Ganeshram tells how Hercules and Delia work hard to excitedly make the cake, even though they face "an unspoken, bittersweet reality."

If you remember when I did the first film she'd only written three or four books, so nobody knew where it was really going except her. And its was important for her that I know something, but she only gave me a tiny piece of information which helped me think it was a more ambiguous route.
